Broward County Rental Areas: Prices, Housing Types and Commutes
September 8, 2026 · 5 min read
Broward County stretches from Deerfield Beach in the north to Hallandale Beach in the south. Rentals range from beachfront high-rises to townhomes, duplexes and houses to downtown apartment towers. Here is how the main rental areas compare on housing type, price and travel, with live prices on each city page.
Hallandale Beach: condos near the water
Hallandale Beach sits on the line between Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Most rentals are individually owned condo units, many east of US-1 toward the beach, with low-rise buildings, duplexes and houses farther west. I-95, the Florida Turnpike, US-1 and A1A all run through or next to the city. See live prices by size on the Hallandale Beach rentals page (rentedfirst.com/hallandale-apartments).
Hollywood: beach condos, downtown apartments and houses
Hollywood borders Hallandale Beach to the north. Rentals include condos along South Ocean Drive (A1A), apartments around downtown Hollywood and Young Circle, and houses and townhomes farther west. The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk runs about 2.5 miles along the beach, and Tri-Rail stops at the Hollywood station near I-95. See live prices on the Hollywood rentals page (rentedfirst.com/hollywood-apartments).
Fort Lauderdale: Harbordale and Victoria Park
Harbordale sits just south of Las Olas Boulevard near the Intracoastal, with houses, duplexes and small apartment buildings. Victoria Park is northeast of downtown. Brightline and Tri-Rail both stop in Fort Lauderdale. Well-priced listings can lease quickly, so have your documents ready.
Aventura: condo towers by the Intracoastal
Aventura borders Hallandale Beach to the south, in Miami-Dade County. It is mostly high-rise condo towers along the Intracoastal and Country Club Drive, plus Aventura Mall and a Brightline station. See live prices on the Aventura rentals page (rentedfirst.com/aventura-apartments).
West Park and Pembroke Park: houses and smaller buildings
West Park and Pembroke Park are just west of Hallandale Beach. Rentals include houses, townhomes and smaller apartment buildings, and listings here are more likely to include a yard or garage.
