Hallandale Beach covers about four square miles between Aventura and Hollywood, on the Broward and Miami-Dade county line.

Housing runs from low-rise apartment buildings, duplexes and single-family homes west of US-1 to mid- and high-rise condos along A1A (S Ocean Drive) and the Three Islands area. Many condo rentals need association approval before move-in.

Gulfstream Park is on US-1. I-95 is reached from Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Pembroke Road. City shuttle routes and Broward County Transit buses run through the city.
