Hollywood, FL Apartments for Rent: Areas, Live Prices and Tips

By Zach Curtis, licensed agent, Realty Hub, SL3664129. Updated October 18, 2026. General information, not legal advice.

Hollywood is one of Broward County's larger cities, stretching from the Atlantic Ocean west past I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. It sits between Dania Beach to the north and Hallandale Beach to the south. That size means very different rentals under one name: oceanfront condos on the Broadwalk, older buildings around downtown, and houses and townhomes further west. Today our feed has 753 live listings from $1,500 to $6,000 a month (median $2,400) in Hollywood.

The main areas, by housing type

Hollywood renter checklist

  1. Confirm the lease is annual. Beach-area units are often marketed seasonally; we filter those out, but always confirm the term.
  2. Ask about parking. Beach-area parking can be limited and some buildings charge for spaces.
  3. Check flood and storm details. Ask whether the unit has impact windows or shutters, and get renter's insurance. The FEMA flood map service center lets you look up a flood zone by address.
  4. Association approval. Ask the timeline and fees before applying. Florida caps condo association approval fees per applicant (section 718.112(2)(k), Florida Statutes).
  5. Pets. Rules vary a lot by building. Read renting with a dog in a condo.

Hollywood or Hallandale Beach?

They share a border and many renters tour both in one afternoon. Compare the live pages: Hollywood apartments, Hallandale Beach apartments and the Hollywood neighborhood page. There is also an older comparison post, Hallandale Beach vs Hollywood.

How Zach helps

Zach is a licensed agent with Realty Hub. He sees every MLS rental in Hollywood, sets up showings with listing agents, and tells you a building's approval process before you pay to apply. Renters pay no fee to RentedFirst.

Fair housing: every listing is open to everyone. We describe buildings, prices and processes, never who lives where.

Commute and getting around

Hollywood Boulevard and Sheridan Street are the main east-west roads, with I-95, US-1 and the Turnpike running north-south. Tri-Rail has a Hollywood station near I-95, and Broward County Transit buses run on the main corridors. Check the agencies' current schedules for your route. If you drive to Miami or Fort Lauderdale, test the drive from the unit at your real commute time before you apply.

Hollywood rentals by size today

Use the table above as a guide, then filter on the live pages: studios, 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms (these pages include Hollywood listings where noted). For the beach area in particular, read seasonal vs annual rentals before you call on a furnished listing.

Before you apply anywhere in Hollywood, ask the listing agent three things: the minimum credit score and income the owner wants, whether a condo or HOA approval applies and how long it has taken recently, and the full move-in total. Those answers tell you in five minutes whether the unit is worth an application fee.
